It's the day that 1:30 Speaker 1 No show we're gonna pause real quick from a message advised by her turnies morning 1:33 Speaker 1 What you're about to hear is the funniest shit in your life with that being said the comments made by Brandon Chuck 1:36 Speaker 1 Do not reflect their views everything said in the show is protected under parody law in no way shape or form 1:40 Speaker 1 Is anything said or done on the show is real everything is all props enjoy the show? 1:43 Speaker 1 All right, oh, there's Chuck Charles. I aren't fizzin. Have you ever seen a picture of Mary Todd? 1:50 Speaker 1 The funniest part about that is as soon as you said Abraham 1:55 Speaker 1 When you can married his wife immediately I went in my brain 1:59 Speaker 1 Dude, she was broke like she was so ugly and then when you said he didn't marry her for a look 2:06 Speaker 1 So I'm like oh my 2:08 Speaker 1 I think that's so bad that that's what she's known for is being the ugliest first lady in history 2:13 Speaker 1 I think back in the day though. They didn't really marry for looks 2:16 Speaker 1 I think they married to make sure they could survive childbirth and give them a lot of kids because if you got like a 2:20 Speaker 1 Dainty woman like one that looked good 2:22 Speaker 1 She might only give you one kid before she dies 2:24 Speaker 1 And you got to find another wife and back then it was really important to have a lot of kids so they can work on the farm 2:29 Speaker 1 They just got rid of slavery shortly after that 2:31 Speaker 1 So they didn't have slaves that they needed their kids to help them out on the farm and apparently her parents owned a lot of 2:36 Speaker 1 i don't want to own slaves so shit they just had some kids. A lot of them. 2:38 Speaker 1 What are you talking about? They didn't do away with slaves. He is the one who emancipated them. 2:42 Speaker 1 That's what I'm saying. Yeah, they're in their marriage. You know, it's like, what are we going to do? 2:45 Speaker 1 I guess I got a married ugly woman that can handle childbirth eight times. 2:51 Speaker 1 He married her after emancipated the slaves. 2:54 Speaker 1 1842, when did he emancipate the slaves? 2:56 Speaker 1 Oh, God. You're going to ask me that. 2:58 Speaker 1 Emancipation, Brock Lemoney. 3:00 Speaker 1 I'm going to say if he married her in 1842, 3:03 Speaker 1 I'm gonna say if he married her in 1842, then he emancipated slaves in 1856 3:11 Speaker 1 63 so 21 years of he married to her and he's like I'm gonna get around to it honey. I promise I'll get rid of them slaves 3:17 Speaker 1 Dude, there's no way you married her because of that 3:19 Speaker 1 I think this is this is my theory and I've had this theory for a long time and it can't be proven 3:25 Speaker 1 There's just no way to prove it because there's no historian that's ever went back and studied this 3:30 Speaker 1 But if you were living back then 3:32 Speaker 1 I know right now, like we think that women, their appearance is what matters, right? 3:39 Speaker 1 Maybe they're figure, right? 3:40 Speaker 1 Maybe you just like the way their, you know, body's built. 3:44 Speaker 1 But back then, if you go back to 1830, what do you think would be the most important thing 3:52 Speaker 1 when you meet a young lady? 3:54 Speaker 1 I guess for it to be fertile, right? 3:56 Speaker 1 So you can make a lot of kids. 3:57 Speaker 1 Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, big boobs. 4:00 Speaker 1 boobs. No, no, think about it. What's the one thing in 1830 that you know mattered? 4:07 Speaker 1 And you would know pretty quick when you met a young lady if she had it on. Oh, STDs. What 4:13 Speaker 1 is wrong with you? No, hygiene. Hygiene. No, it's not. It all came down to hygiene, man. You could, 4:21 Speaker 1 so like if you were living in 1830, let's see you in the abre boys, you know, and you guys were 4:28 Speaker 1 were hanging out. You went out on the town in your horse and buggy, you know, and you 4:32 Speaker 1 guys were hitting the local bars and you see a girl and she's a 10 dude, a 10. But her 4:39 Speaker 1 hygiene level was like low, like really low, right? What is the first thing you notice? 4:46 Speaker 1 Oh, I guess she's got like rotten ass teeth and a smelly vagina. Okay. Okay. And you can 4:53 Speaker 1 And I don't know about you, but back then, I'm guessing you could smell that from like, 4:58 Speaker 1 I don't know, 10 feet away. I don't know. 5:00 Speaker 1 They had a lot of clothes on it was covering it up. I think as you peeled the layers off, 5:03 Speaker 1 you're like, oh man, it was like getting right down here. 5:05 Speaker 1 I think if you met a girl and let's say you go to a bar in 1830 and you got a girl that's a 10, 5:14 Speaker 1 but her hygiene level is at a two or you got a two and her hygiene levels at a 10, 5:20 Speaker 1 which one are you choosing? 5:22 Speaker 1 you know, I'm not seen if Mary Todd had a teeth or not a 10. Would you, would you date a 10 and 18 30 that's hygiene was a two or a two who's hygiene was a 10? 5:34 Speaker 1 Which one would you go after? I mean, you know, you got to look at, you know, the figures and everything. I mean, obviously, like I said back, then I don't know if they liked looks as much as how much they could bear children. But at the same time, I don't think there was really love until probably the 30s. They didn't really love their wives. They just needed someone to breed with. So, um, I guess if you 5:51 Speaker 1 wanted your kids to look good. I guess you'd go with the 10. But now that I think about it, 5:54 Speaker 1 I don't think a was that good looking of a guy either. I think you look, can't look like 5:57 Speaker 1 a swollen up, decaying dying JD Vance almost. I'm not, I'm not saying he was good looking. 6:04 Speaker 1 I'm just saying no guys going to choose looks over hygiene. No, it's not possible. No guys 6:10 Speaker 1 going to do that. I don't think there was a lot of hygiene in general back then. That 6:13 Speaker 1 was just the standard. You just kind of smelled. And you just like, it's just what it is. I don't 6:17 Speaker 1 know, I feel like there was especially the big ins like Mary Todd. You know, I bet you 6:22 Speaker 1 she took care of herself. She probably found a sharp buoy knife or something and she, you 6:29 Speaker 1 know, she woman scaped and she took care of herself and the Abe was like, this is the 6:33 Speaker 1 one, you know, she, because I don't think they used soap back then, but they, they would 6:37 Speaker 1 bathe in like flower petals, you know? And so she probably did that. 6:41 Speaker 1 I don't think flower petals is cleaning at all. I think it's just like sexuality. 6:46 Speaker 1 I think that's the thing. I think you could take like a handful of flower petals and like under arm under boob 6:53 Speaker 1 But you know and I think that's what probably got I'm just saying if I live back then I 6:59 Speaker 1 Would have married for IG. That's that's where I'm going. Yeah 7:02 Speaker 1 Like I said, I think but they mainly just wanted to marry so they could produce kids because I mean you gotta have 7:07 Speaker 1 They all had a lot of kids he had four kids which I guess that a whole lot for back then 7:10 Speaker 1 But I think he was still planning on pumping them out so you got one putting the back of the head 7:14 Speaker 1 Okay. 7:15 Speaker 1 What did his kids go? 7:17 Speaker 1 Oh, Jesus Christ. 7:20 Speaker 1 I mean, did they do anything in life? 7:21 Speaker 1 I mean, your dad is Abraham Lincoln. 7:24 Speaker 1 Do we have like Lincoln's great, great grandkids running around right now? 7:28 Speaker 1 Oh, let's see. 7:29 Speaker 1 The eldest was Robert Todd Lincoln. 7:32 Speaker 1 He graduated from Harvard, served in the Civil War, worked as a lawyer and business executive 7:37 Speaker 1 and later served as US Secretary of War and ambassador to Great Britain. 7:42 Speaker 1 He died. He was born 1843 died in 1926. Wow. He lived pretty long for back then. You got 7:48 Speaker 1 Edward Baker Eddie Lincoln. Poor guy lasted four years. The second son he died in Springfield 7:54 Speaker 1 just before his birth, likely from tuberculosis. Wait, how do you die before his birth birth 8:00 Speaker 1 a fourth birth day? Oh, fourth birthday. Okay. Just like what they had a borches back. They 8:07 Speaker 1 watch. What are you talking about? He got tuberculosis in the womb? This is weird. Okay. 8:12 Speaker 1 He got William Wallace, Willie Lincoln, God, don't mind it. 8:14 Speaker 1 They love fucking nuts. 8:16 Speaker 1 It's great. 8:17 Speaker 1 It's great. 8:18 Speaker 1 The third son, this guy didn't, he only lived a fucking 12. 8:22 Speaker 1 He was known as intelligent and warm hearted child and he died at age 11 in the White House 8:26 Speaker 1 during his father's president. 8:27 Speaker 1 Man, they were terrible parents. 8:28 Speaker 1 They kept letting their kids die. 8:30 Speaker 1 All right. 8:31 Speaker 1 And then he got Thomas Taddley. 8:33 Speaker 1 I think I didn't live long either. 8:35 Speaker 1 1853 to 1871. 8:36 Speaker 1 I mean, when he make it 20 years, the youngest son known for his playful, energetic personality 8:42 Speaker 1 he died at 18. Man, these kids did not let see. This is what I think of when I think about 8:46 Speaker 1 history is just dying real young and early. And it don't make a lot of sense. Okay, so 8:49 Speaker 1 are there any link ins with us now? Are there any direct descendants of Abraham Lincoln that 8:55 Speaker 1 are currently living in our society? Current day descendants. Oh, I'm never meant. I'm never 9:02 Speaker 1 meant to Lincoln ever. See, they probably got, you know, probably ended up having girls 9:07 Speaker 1 and they got all weeded out and everything. But he has no living direct descendants. 9:11 Speaker 1 Direct. Oh my God. Oh, well, okay. His direct bloodline ended in 1985 with his great grandson, 9:18 Speaker 1 Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith died at age 81 without any acknowledged children. So there might 9:23 Speaker 1 be a little link in running around before. But like they didn't have good luck because his old 9:27 Speaker 1 son was the only one that made it past 18 and the other ones just died. 9:31 Speaker 1 That's crazy, dude. And what do you do when? So the one kid that died at the White House, 9:35 Speaker 1 What what what uh what he died of to Berkeley was that's it to Berkeley loves this kid. Yeah 9:40 Speaker 1 That's crazy, man 9:42 Speaker 1 Well either way Mary Todd was not a good looking woman 9:45 Speaker 1 And that's one thing that we can all agree on in American history on today's date that we can all remember that she was broke 9:50 Speaker 1 That's why she uh 9:52 Speaker 1 You mean busted chopped yeah broke busted what everyone busted chop. I don't know what you young kids say now 9:58 Speaker 1 We used to call them broke, but I guess busted works 10:01 Speaker 1 Yeah, they're like chops now is what the kid the kid kids like to say 10:05 Speaker 1 Uh, let's see if anything else happened back in this day. 10:08 Speaker 1 Mm, I mean, this one's kind of, you know, goes into the pyramids and everything. 10:12 Speaker 1 In 1922, British archeologist Howard Carter and his team discovered the interest 10:16 Speaker 1 to the tomb of Boy King Tutting Kha'man in Egypt's Valley of the Kings. 10:22 Speaker 1 Yeah, so that's, uh, I don't know. 10:24 Speaker 1 We don't really talk about King Tut, right? 10:27 Speaker 1 Uh, Tut didn't, uh, Humum, uh, 1922. 10:30 Speaker 1 I don't know if this King Tut or not. 10:31 Speaker 1 Maybe maybe this King Tut, because I can't say the rest of his fucking name, but 10:34 Speaker 1 was he the boy king 10:36 Speaker 1 i think so i don't know 10:39 Speaker 1 and i've been to egypt 10:40 Speaker 1 and i've been to his tomb and i have no idea 10:43 Speaker 1 uh... okay 10:44 Speaker 1 uh... let's see if anything else uh... nineteen seventy nine day i ran hostage 10:48 Speaker 1 crisis began uh... randy and student storm the u.s. embassy in tahran taking 10:52 Speaker 1 fifty two american hostages for four hundred forty four days is that the one 10:55 Speaker 1 that hillary was no been gazee was hillary spot right 10:59 Speaker 1 it was a little bit for hillary 11:00 Speaker 1 that was jimmy carter's wonderful act 11:03 Speaker 1 that he took care of. 11:04 Speaker 1 He did. 11:05 Speaker 1 That guy was a good heart, but he was about retarded. 11:07 Speaker 1 He knew nothing, but he knew peanuts and he lose half Georgia. 11:10 Speaker 1 He could not run the country. 11:12 Speaker 1 You terrible president. 11:14 Speaker 1 I think at that point is when America started saying, all right, maybe we shouldn't vote 11:17 Speaker 1 for the nice guy. 11:18 Speaker 1 Maybe the guy that kind of knows what's going on here. 11:20 Speaker 1 I mean, you know what's funny is I didn't know that I and I'm not. 11:25 Speaker 1 My daughter said something to me tonight and we got into a little bit of a political 11:29 Speaker 1 debate. 11:30 Speaker 1 And again, I don't really, I don't want to say it like Trump. 11:36 Speaker 1 I don't want to say that. 11:37 Speaker 1 But I don't care for him. 11:38 Speaker 1 I don't care for anybody. 11:40 Speaker 1 There's not any political person out there that I care for. 11:43 Speaker 1 But we're on the way back from dinner and they said, Dad, what do you think about the 11:50 Speaker 1 polls and voting and all that? 11:52 Speaker 1 Are you going to vote? 11:53 Speaker 1 I said, I'm not going to vote. 11:54 Speaker 1 Like, I don't even care. 11:55 Speaker 1 You know? 11:56 Speaker 1 I said, you know what I'm going to vote for? 11:57 Speaker 1 I'm going to vote for Gaspie under 389 a gallon. 11:59 Speaker 1 That's what I'm going to vote for. 12:00 Speaker 1 We drive by a gas station. It says three to nine. 12:04 Speaker 1 And Carter and Carter goes, I thought that was $38.90. 12:08 Speaker 1 Oh my god. 12:09 Speaker 1 Anyway, we drive by it. 12:12 Speaker 1 And so we're getting almost home. 12:14 Speaker 1 And again, I don't I don't I don't want to defend anybody. 12:18 Speaker 1 I don't care. And Savannah, because she's in middle school now, 12:21 Speaker 1 and he's great. 12:22 Speaker 1 She goes, well, all my friends and their parents say that Trump is an idiot, 12:26 Speaker 1 and he's the worst president we've ever had in history. 12:28 Speaker 1 So of course now, I'm on this weird like, I have to defend Donald Trump. 12:36 Speaker 1 And Samantha goes, didn't he say that Nicki Minaj's butt was really nice? 12:40 Speaker 1 And it is. 12:41 Speaker 1 I'm like, what are we doing? 12:43 Speaker 1 I said, okay, first off, I had to go this whole like thing. 12:45 Speaker 1 I'm like, look, who cares what the president is, what you care about as the policies. 12:50 Speaker 1 And she's like, everybody said that you can't be illegal if you're on stolen land. 12:54 Speaker 1 Hi, I'm Katie, your friend and jeweler at Shane Company. 12:58 Speaker 1 As a Shane company jewelry consultant and gift insider, here are my top three engagement 13:02 Speaker 1 ring trends for a magical holiday proposal. 13:05 Speaker 1 Vintage inspired styles with intricate details, bold rings with thicker gold bands, and unique 13:10 Speaker 1 diamond shapes like antique cushion. 13:12 Speaker 1 We have so many beautiful ring styles and diamonds in stock to compare side by side. 13:16 Speaker 1 Plus, we'll protect your ring with our all-inclusive free lifetime warranty. 13:20 Speaker 1 Visit us in store or at shanko.com. 13:23 Speaker 1 chain company, your friend and jeweler. 13:25 Speaker 1 You're listening to a quick ad. 13:26 Speaker 1 You know what else is quick? 15:00 Speaker 1 And I'm trying to tell my daughter all these things, and she starts telling me, well, 15:04 Speaker 1 so and so is Mom. 15:05 Speaker 1 So and so is Mom. 15:07 Speaker 1 And I, and she said one person and I, and I'm thinking back and I go, wait, I've been 15:12 Speaker 1 to their house. 15:14 Speaker 1 They live in like an $800,000 home, right? 15:17 Speaker 1 I go, so wait, did your friends, Mom's know that? 15:24 Speaker 1 But if it wasn't for the Republican Party, they wouldn't be in that house for very long 15:30 Speaker 1 because the redistribution or the redistribution of wealth is eventually going to get them out 15:34 Speaker 1 of there and they're not going to be able to afford it because they're idiots. 15:37 Speaker 1 Like, what are we doing? 15:38 Speaker 1 I don't and I'm not saying you got to be a certain political party to be successful, 15:42 Speaker 1 but I am saying some of these politicians just get me. 15:46 Speaker 1 God, help me. 15:47 Speaker 1 Geez, I can't vote. 15:48 Speaker 1 I'm not voting Brandon. 15:49 Speaker 1 And I know we're almost there. 15:50 Speaker 1 Isn't today voting day? 15:51 Speaker 1 Isn't that true? 15:52 Speaker 1 was yesterday. We're on the we're kind of time loop thing. 15:56 Speaker 1 Cause I don't even know. I don't even know. 15:57 Speaker 1 Because I don't care. I'm not voting, but I just can't, I can't let my kids do it. 16:00 Speaker 1 I can't. I can't want to be liberals. And I hate to say that. Oh, yeah. 16:03 Speaker 1 I can't. And I'm not even identifying as a Republican. I just can't let them be liberals. 16:08 Speaker 1 Cause I know it's a dark, dark, dark place to go. It's just a, it's just a bad, it's 16:14 Speaker 1 warm. Nothing good comes out of it. Cause they like the, the other extremists is like 16:17 Speaker 1 you're, you're far right. And like the worst thing that happens when you're far 16:20 Speaker 1 right is you just you work you make a lot of money you believe everything Trump says and you like guns and you hate 16:26 Speaker 1 You know you hate certain groups of people the left you go that far left 16:30 Speaker 1 You just don't want to work and you think everything should be equal and fair 16:33 Speaker 1 But that's that's not how life works. I remember my dad told me when I was real young 16:37 Speaker 1 I said something I was like that's not fair and he let me know life's not fair 16:40 Speaker 1 Okay, like you're in this like your own little bubble your world until you get out of school 16:44 Speaker 1 And you're gonna realize life don't give a fuck about you 16:46 Speaker 1 They don't give a damn if you dead on the street if you're homeless if you smoke and crack if you 16:49 Speaker 1 And if you got someone pregnant at 13, they don't fucking matter. 16:53 Speaker 1 Right? 16:54 Speaker 1 Life to give a damn. 16:55 Speaker 1 It's not going to be like, Oh, you're a liberal. 16:56 Speaker 1 We're going to make sure the life's the whole life better for you. 16:57 Speaker 1 And we're going to change our action. 16:59 Speaker 1 It's so we're talking about the other day. 17:00 Speaker 1 It's like the same fucking thing. 17:01 Speaker 1 Like the, the, uh, the logos and the end of the NFL stadium to say in racism. 17:07 Speaker 1 How fucking stupid is that? 17:08 Speaker 1 What is that doing? 17:09 Speaker 1 If any, who's going to look at that? 17:11 Speaker 1 That's racist and say, you know what? 17:12 Speaker 1 I saw it on the field. 17:13 Speaker 1 I'm going to stop being racist. 17:14 Speaker 1 It's just going to make them even more angry. 17:17 Speaker 1 More people are pissed off. 17:18 Speaker 1 and for the people that are like, I agree with that, like, well, clearly you don't need a sign to tell you that it's just so fucking retarded and the end hate on the back of the helmets. What are we doing? What are we doing here? Alright, if someone wants to be hateful, that's just gonna piss them off even more. Alright, they're gonna see that be like, oh, fucking hate the no hate helmets. Like, come on now. It makes no sense. So, yeah, you just got to let her. It's good. Yeah, policy's kind of up the middle. You know, you got to lean left or right, depending on what's going on. But like I said, always the past couple of years. 17:43 Speaker 1 I mean the Democrats haven't put anybody up to go get strong, you know, it's their own damn fault same thing with like the governor race in Georgia 17:49 Speaker 1 I don't know, you know apparently they say it's close. They always say it's fucking close 17:52 Speaker 1 There's there's no telling but at the end of the day, it's like I mean put up somebody competent 17:56 Speaker 1 I mean the quiche bottom. She just she quit on Atlanta 17:59 Speaker 1 So she really thinks you're gonna be able to run the entire fucking state of Georgia 18:03 Speaker 1 I don't know if she gets elected it's gonna be fucking crazy 18:04 Speaker 1 But we'll see what happens 18:05 Speaker 1 But I think the Democrats just need to start putting better people up if they want to have a fair chance fair 18:10 Speaker 1 It's like the Baltimore Ravens at this point like they have no quarterbacks, you know, like you got to give someone a chance 18:15 Speaker 1 It's gonna be Derek Henry over there versus the next team. They're just gonna get slaughtered ridiculous 18:18 Speaker 1 I agree. I agree, but you know, I know I know we're not a political show and we don't we don't like to get into politics 18:24 Speaker 1 But right now, I mean you can't help it. I can't I can't I can't sit by where my kids are over here like daddy 18:29 Speaker 1 Who should we vote for? 18:31 Speaker 1 What I'm not voting and you're not right now either 18:34 Speaker 1 But one day you're gonna have to and I need you to vote for not crazy. Okay, that's that's I do I like pain? 18:40 Speaker 1 in 389 at the gallon or gallon at the pump. No, I don't. And you know, Carter, of course, 18:45 Speaker 1 is like, well, how many gallons does a car hold dad? And I said, about 20, 25. And he goes, 18:50 Speaker 1 wow. So gas is 300 a tank. Jesus Christ. He's not making the tech. You better play. 18:59 Speaker 1 Like what? And so anyway, but no, I mean, it was an interesting conversation. And you know, 19:04 Speaker 1 where this all spawned from. And after this, we got to get into birthdays. But so we had that. 19:10 Speaker 1 I told you we had the dinner for 19:13 Speaker 1 Figure out if you can abezzle HOA funds or not. Yeah, and I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie Brandon 19:20 Speaker 1 I'm a little sad right now. So we went into the meeting and I had already I 19:27 Speaker 1 Didn't I didn't have my speech ready, you know to take back over the presidency 19:31 Speaker 1 But I was definitely like okay, you know, they're gonna I'm gonna get wine and dine dear 19:36 Speaker 1 You know, it's gonna be pretty much like Chuck save us, you know 19:39 Speaker 1 Like we need you back. Okay, right? You know what I expected so we sit down and I start noticing 19:46 Speaker 1 The conversation is really geared to Megan right like I'm just sitting there like looking at the kids and like hanging out 19:54 Speaker 1 And they're going over all the numbers of Megan and I had questions 19:59 Speaker 1 So I'm asking questions about the budgets and things like that 20:02 Speaker 1 And they would answer me and they go right back to Megan like hey, do you understand? 20:06 Speaker 1 And Megan's like, oh, no, they're really good with numbers. 20:09 Speaker 1 You know, it's like car cars like I call three million dollars to cut the grass in our neighborhood. 20:14 Speaker 1 What? 20:15 Speaker 1 So, so at the end of it, um, what we came away with is they want Megan to be the president in March, starting March 1st, right? 20:27 Speaker 1 But it's gonna be it's gonna be more like it like she's the queen and you're the prime minister. 20:30 Speaker 1 She doesn't really have any power. 20:31 Speaker 1 That's kind of what I think, you know. 20:33 Speaker 1 You know, um, but I do have to sit back and kind of go wow, you know, like 20:38 Speaker 1 Megan is gonna be the president. So we had the conversation in the car about I just brought it up because I thought it was weird 20:45 Speaker 1 Because I know who the president of our community has been since it's been built 20:49 Speaker 1 And we've never had a female president. So I told Megan I said 20:54 Speaker 1 The cool thing is, you know, you'd be the first female president, right? 20:58 Speaker 1 I don't know if I want to do this. 20:59 Speaker 1 And I said, yeah, but how cool would it be that, you know, Savannah and Sydney can look 21:07 Speaker 1 over and they can see that they too can make it to president. 21:11 Speaker 1 I can't give one day for you. 21:13 Speaker 1 This is the highlight of your life, honey. 21:16 Speaker 1 Look at this. 21:17 Speaker 1 So that's when that's when the girl that's when Savannah started asking questions about 21:21 Speaker 1 politics and all that. 21:23 Speaker 1 And yes, Alex Megan would be a DEI hire. 21:27 Speaker 1 I totally think that that's what this is. 21:29 Speaker 1 I think I'll maybe saw the wine moms in neighborhood 21:31 Speaker 1 and the liberal moms in neighborhood 21:33 Speaker 1 trying to overthrow the current president. 21:35 Speaker 1 Like, well, we just put a, we just put a woman in there 21:37 Speaker 1 and they're going to calm them down a little bit. 21:39 Speaker 1 Calm them down some. 21:41 Speaker 1 I don't know, maybe she'll buy some good will with that. 21:42 Speaker 1 But anyway, so that's how it went. 21:45 Speaker 1 So I'm not the president. 21:46 Speaker 1 It's going to be Megan. 21:47 Speaker 1 Oh, okay. 21:48 Speaker 1 We're real quick by say going with the Savannah thing. 21:50 Speaker 1 Does she celebrate Columbus Day 21:52 Speaker 1 or the indigenous people of stay, 21:54 Speaker 1 whatever the fuck they call it? 21:55 Speaker 1 Columbus. 21:56 Speaker 1 Columbus she's not do she's not she's not gonna be a little but I'm not I'm not 21:59 Speaker 1 it's not happening I must say you gotta come down here we got to shoot some guns 22:02 Speaker 1 with her something like what that cool we can we gotta kill something front of 22:05 Speaker 1 us yeah we haven't even talked about the second amendment yet yeah we got a lot 22:10 Speaker 1 of stuff to talk about I'm not worried about it she's she just has stupid friend 22:15 Speaker 1 parents you know I mean and and now I'm gonna start I'm not gonna start asking a 22:18 Speaker 1 question because I'm gonna do that I'm gonna start reaching out to her friends 22:21 Speaker 1 parents and it's not you know hey the girls won't have a sleepover are you gonna 22:26 Speaker 1 be there. Are you going to be around? Is everything good? Are you a liberal? You know, 22:31 Speaker 1 and I don't care if you're a liberal, but don't talk about it in front of my kid. 22:34 Speaker 1 Like don't sit there and be like, Oh my God, Trump is this and Trump is that and 22:39 Speaker 1 Fox News and don't talk about politics in front of my kid. 22:43 Speaker 1 I don't have your kids over and sit here and be like, so who are you going to vote 22:46 Speaker 1 for in 10 years? Yeah. 22:49 Speaker 1 Stupid. 22:49 Speaker 1 Thank you now, son, because it really changes your life. Not it. It really 22:53 Speaker 1 I mean, I'm not gonna affect you at all because that's the problem is a lot of people just they just worked themselves up about it like when Biden was in administration, I mean, obviously I didn't vote for him and I wasn't a fan, but then the day he was my president. So I'm just like, I mean, he's my guy, you know, I didn't agree with everything, but I'm not pitching about him every day and like talking on the Internet. 23:10 Speaker 1 Like, I can't believe this guy did this this and that's kind of like, you know, my life's pretty much exactly the same almost. But yeah, you got to make sure you got to make sure she doesn't go liberal because that's turned bad. 23:20 Speaker 1 And the dating pool for liberal women is on the boards. It's not good. Yeah, it's not good. They were like, I'm not 23:27 Speaker 1 Oh my god. Yeah, no, you don't want to you never want to date if you're liberal 23:31 Speaker 1 That's rough for guys and girls because they don't want to be with each other because they're not good stuff 23:35 Speaker 1 Yeah 23:36 Speaker 1 How left are you like I'm not left enough? 23:39 Speaker 1 What it's crazy crazy what you made up bullshit, so exactly all right what birthdays we got the day on this day in history 23:46 Speaker 1 three. Oh, dude, we got some really good ones, man. I thought yesterday was good. But all right. 23:52 Speaker 1 So this one you should be able to get. This is the most famous birthday today. Oh no and I sat there and 32:24 Speaker 1 I'm and I'm looking at her and I don't know what to say because one 32:28 Speaker 1 I don't even know at this point. I've not picked up on the fact that she's talking about the WNBA 32:34 Speaker 1 Because in my mind in my heart 32:37 Speaker 1 WNBA is already over. I guess I don't know who started but there's just no way it's still going on 32:42 Speaker 1 There's no way they still have this thing happening right so I said you talking about basketball and she goes oh 32:49 Speaker 1 my you don't know about the dream and they're about ready to win the 32:53 Speaker 1 a championship and she's like going on and on. 32:55 Speaker 1 And I'm like laughing, like openly laughing. 33:00 Speaker 1 And I'm going, why would I turn off college football 33:03 Speaker 1 to turn on WNBA? 33:05 Speaker 1 And she goes, what? 33:07 Speaker 1 She's like, oh my God, you don't know what you're missing, boy. 33:09 Speaker 1 You need to turn on this game. 33:10 Speaker 1 It is gonna be so good. 33:12 Speaker 1 And I'm like, what is going on right now? 33:15 Speaker 1 And so I just say, this is what kind of, 33:17 Speaker 1 I think upset her and she left. 33:19 Speaker 1 I said, do they air it? 33:21 Speaker 1 Or do I have to go to like YouTube 33:22 Speaker 1 and like find like the live stream of it. 33:24 Speaker 1 I'm doing something recording in the stands. 33:27 Speaker 1 And she's going, she goes, oh my God. 33:30 Speaker 1 It's on YouTube TV, Hulu. 33:32 Speaker 1 Well, and I'm like, OK, well, I'm sorry. 33:34 Speaker 1 I'm not. 33:35 Speaker 1 I'm not turning off any college game. 33:37 Speaker 1 I don't care if I'm watching South Dakota State. 33:40 Speaker 1 And Hawaii. 33:41 Speaker 1 Yeah, like I'm watching that over the WNBA Championship. 33:45 Speaker 1 OK, so I just thought that was funny. 33:46 Speaker 1 I forgot to tell you about that. 33:47 Speaker 1 What do they get like a little plastic, one of those little plastic trophies 33:50 Speaker 1 you get to get that like fifth. 33:52 Speaker 1 Great. 33:53 Speaker 1 They get the same trophy. 33:54 Speaker 1 Sydney's teams get for just getting for participating $2 rings that they ordered on 33:59 Speaker 1 Amazon. 34:00 Speaker 1 Okay. 34:01 Speaker 1 Can you put a dream on there? 34:02 Speaker 1 I don't know if I want to know the answer to this, but I'm going to ask you who won the 34:06 Speaker 1 champion is the championship over is WNBA done for a while. 34:09 Speaker 1 We do get a break. 34:10 Speaker 1 Not a clue. 34:11 Speaker 1 Tara would probably know that and I don't know. 34:14 Speaker 1 I don't know if they play as many games as NBA. 34:16 Speaker 1 I don't even know much about NBA. 34:18 Speaker 1 So I have no idea. 34:19 Speaker 1 I don't, not a big basketball fan to begin with. 34:21 Speaker 1 So I have no idea what, what, what goes on over there. 34:25 Speaker 1 But I guess while Tara figures that out for us, 34:28 Speaker 1 if you listen to us on our high radar podcast or spot a fight, 34:30 Speaker 1 be sure to lose the five star review. 34:32 Speaker 1 We appreciate it and a follow. 34:34 Speaker 1 We're going to be doing another giveaway at 10,000 reviews, 34:37 Speaker 1 five stars, we're at 2,000 right now. 34:38 Speaker 1 So let us know what you want down below. 34:41 Speaker 1 Don't forget we got the Patreon as well. 34:42 Speaker 1 We used to have our pay advertising for the show 34:43 Speaker 1 and for do scary hookers here in front of us 34:45 Speaker 1 to steroid frogs plus stuff. 34:47 Speaker 1 get the batteries today or yesterday and whatever we need to get the show off the ground. The fifth year of WNBA? 36:12 Speaker 1 I don't know. 36:13 Speaker 1 I think they started with just two teams for a while. 36:15 Speaker 1 I know what everything. 36:16 Speaker 1 So it says here the Velcries capped off a grueling finals series with a thrilling score 36:26 Speaker 1 in game seven of what do you think? 36:33 Speaker 1 What do you think the final score was in the championship game? 36:39 Speaker 1 I'm going to guess forty seven to forty two. It's not that bad, but the defense was strong 36:50 Speaker 1 that night. It was a 78 76. Oh my God. They're not scoring that many points. Are you crazy? 36:57 Speaker 1 65 to 63 63 to 68. All right. Game seven. The win was fueled by a stellar. I can't stop 37:11 Speaker 1 the win was fueled by a stellar performance from star forward Gabby Williams who scored 37:19 Speaker 1 how many points in the second half. This is crazy in the second half. Now mind you, the 37:26 Speaker 1 The whole team only scored 68 points. Okay. How many points do you think she scored in 37:31 Speaker 1 the second half? I'm gonna think 18, 28 points. She got half the team score. What the fuck 37:40 Speaker 1 in the second half, man? That's crazy. But anyway, yeah, the Velkries emerged triumphant 37:48 Speaker 1 in front of a pact. I'm not, I'm not making this up. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not making 37:51 Speaker 1 this up. So we think some line, I'm not. This is the exact statement from Yahoo Sports. 37:56 Speaker 1 The Valkyrie's emerged triumphant in front of a packed, 37:59 Speaker 1 raucous crowd at Golden State's Chase Center, 38:04 Speaker 1 or Valhalla, as it's affectionately known on Halloween night. 38:08 Speaker 1 This is pretty awesome, but just to kind of put all this into summary, 38:15 Speaker 1 this is the stat you want to take home from the final of the WNBA's. 38:20 Speaker 1 The Valkyrie's defense showed up early with Golden State holding the dream, 38:24 Speaker 1 completely 38:27 Speaker 1 scoreless 38:28 Speaker 1 For how many minutes to start the first quarter. Oh fuck I do I think they do 15 minute quarters 38:35 Speaker 1 I would yes, maybe that sounds normal. I'm guessing for like nine minutes 38:45 Speaker 1 So for six minutes of the game they never scored basket oh 38:50 Speaker 1 Oh man. But they finally broke with a layup from Angel Reese at 4.07, which really got 38:57 Speaker 1 the ball rolling. 38:58 Speaker 1 Um, dude, I love WNBA. I'll be honest with you. After reading that, I might start watching 39:03 Speaker 1 it just because it's very entertaining to do the unders on that. Um, defense is strong. 39:09 Speaker 1 I mean, the girls can really play some day. I told you, uh, there's a guy that tracks 39:13 Speaker 1 their menstrual cycles and then he bets to under on them because they always have a terrible 39:17 Speaker 1 game when they're on their period. So people have been betting on that as well. And they 39:20 Speaker 1 seem to be making some money on it because I don't know if Vegas really looks at it 39:24 Speaker 1 a whole lot. But you know, they're not really checking the odds as much, especially when 39:27 Speaker 1 it's on a what night was that? Was that a Saturday night during? Oh, yeah, it was during 39:31 Speaker 1 Halloween during Halloween Vegas is like, we've got $50,000 on the line here and it's 39:37 Speaker 1 just two guys. There's just two people, one named Tara, I think got $20,000 on the line. 39:44 Speaker 1 Yeah. Another part of the person is a hedge fund. All right. So, oh, man. All right. Cool. 39:53 Speaker 1 All right. We do a quick. 39:55 Speaker 1 Daley Doze. 39:58 Speaker 1 That's your daily dose. 40:02 Speaker 1 Daily dose. 40:05 Speaker 1 Daily dose. 40:06 Speaker 1 News for you. 40:10 Speaker 1 Daily dose. 40:11 Speaker 1 the 40:25 Speaker 1 court is defense seeks to block retrial and murder case 40:30 Speaker 1 Children into the jury deadlock the force the judge declare mistrial 40:33 Speaker 1 The judge is now trying to determine whether he wants to run the trial again or I guess the prosecutors and the defense is over here 40:40 Speaker 1 Trying to block it now obviously it's gonna be Kevin Redington and this dude to me 40:45 Speaker 1 I feel like he'd want to do this again 40:47 Speaker 1 Maybe just because I know he made a fuck ton of money off the first one and I feel like he could just do the same thing 40:52 Speaker 1 He did last time right? 40:53 Speaker 1 I mean you just gotta in his defense, you know all I has to do is pick white women to put on the jury 40:58 Speaker 1 He's gonna win the motherfucker again, right now. I think what he's worried about is the the prosecution 41:03 Speaker 1 Just selecting 12 black guys to go up there and then it's the trial be over and fucking a day probably an hour 41:09 Speaker 1 But I don't think he's making any money on that. How's he making money? 41:12 Speaker 1 Through all those I looked up earlier 41:14 Speaker 1 He's not pro bono and her parents are paying for it and apparently they're like already broke from like traveling and like supporting Lindsey 41:20 Speaker 1 before she murdered the kids and then I guess after 41:23 Speaker 1 but 41:24 Speaker 1 But she raised like a $1.3 million. 41:27 Speaker 1 So I'm sure he got pretty much both of that. 41:30 Speaker 1 See, that's the problem is, oh my God, again, 41:33 Speaker 1 I don't want Savannah to grow up and be somebody 41:35 Speaker 1 that donates to a GoFundMe like that. 41:37 Speaker 1 Oh God. 41:37 Speaker 1 Like if that's the point, like if your kid did it, 41:40 Speaker 1 you should be ashamed. 41:41 Speaker 1 Your kid should go get the death penalty 41:44 Speaker 1 and you should never, ever tell people you're proud of him. 41:48 Speaker 1 If your kid donated to the GoFundMe for her, 41:51 Speaker 1 they're just as bad. 41:52 Speaker 1 It's like the girl that wrote Ted Bundy love letters 41:58 Speaker 1 and wanted to have conjugal visits with him. 42:00 Speaker 1 You're just as bad, dude. 42:02 Speaker 1 You're crazy. 42:04 Speaker 1 These people are psychos. 42:05 Speaker 1 So that's what sucks is because of this GoFundMe, 42:08 Speaker 1 now her attorney can go out there 42:10 Speaker 1 and freaking run it again and run it back 42:12 Speaker 1 and try to get her off. 42:13 Speaker 1 It's nuts. 42:14 Speaker 1 And why do we let this happen? 42:16 Speaker 1 As a society, why are we letting people donate, 42:18 Speaker 1 hey, you know what? 42:19 Speaker 1 That dude admitted to killing somebody. 42:21 Speaker 1 Let's see how much money we can raise to get him out. 42:23 Speaker 1 What? Are we crazy? 42:25 Speaker 1 This makes me sick, stupid. 42:27 Speaker 1 There was someone I'm trying to find it right now. 42:29 Speaker 1 There was someone recently that went to trial also 42:31 Speaker 1 and they raised the GoFundMe for him. 42:32 Speaker 1 And apparently he was not allowed to use that 42:34 Speaker 1 for his defense. 42:35 Speaker 1 Let me see if I can find who that was. 42:37 Speaker 1 Who was not allowed to use GoFundMe? 42:41 Speaker 1 I think it was Kyle Rittenhouse, to be honest. 42:46 Speaker 1 Was it him? 42:47 Speaker 1 I think it was him. 42:48 Speaker 1 Because there was a lot of- 42:49 Speaker 1 Oh yeah, yeah. 42:50 Speaker 1 it was. Yeah, yeah, it was. So let's see. So go fund me remove fundraisers for Kyle Rittenhouse 42:55 Speaker 1 legal defense after he was charged with homicide and other violent crimes during a 2020 protest. 43:00 Speaker 1 You also have, which is right here Carmelo Anthony, also the kid that stabbed that other guy at 43:06 Speaker 1 the track meet, go fund me shut down a second fundraiser created for his legal defense after 43:10 Speaker 1 a conviction citing its policy against funding the legal defense of individuals charged with 43:14 Speaker 1 violent crimes. Lindsey Clancy's explicit stipulation from organizers blocking funds from 43:20 Speaker 1 being used towards your legal defense. 43:22 Speaker 1 But this other article said that's what they used it for. 43:24 Speaker 1 And then Baltimore police officers and Michael Slager, 43:29 Speaker 1 go fund me, remove fundraising campaigns 43:30 Speaker 1 for their officers connected to Freddie Gray's death, 43:33 Speaker 1 which to me, I mean, if you're gonna let Lindsey Clancy 43:37 Speaker 1 keep some of the money and use it for defense, 43:39 Speaker 1 yeah, let the others. 43:40 Speaker 1 But also the same time, it's like, 43:42 Speaker 1 if you wanna donate, if you're crazy enough to donate 43:45 Speaker 1 for whatever cause it is and you feel compelled to do it, 43:48 Speaker 1 who's go fund me to say what you can 43:50 Speaker 1 can't use that fucking money for. I mean, to me, that just seems kind of ridiculous as well. 43:54 Speaker 1 God, this is a terrible debate because I get, I get your side of it. I mean, I get, 43:59 Speaker 1 I understand like it's not go fund me's place to do that. But I also think that we have to put 44:05 Speaker 1 restrictions on the crazy. And that's crazy. That's, it's crazy. You know, the, and I'm not 44:12 Speaker 1 trying to stick with one side or the other here, the cow written house thing that money should have 44:18 Speaker 1 been used to defend him. I mean, that was a possibility that it could have been self-defense 44:22 Speaker 1 and it, you know, whatever. The cops in the, what's the dude that got choked out up in 44:27 Speaker 1 Minneapolis, the drug, the 44:28 Speaker 1 Oh, Georgie Floyd? 44:29 Speaker 1 Georgie Floyd. If, if, you know, defending those cops, amen, I'm all about it. What's 44:36 Speaker 1 the guy's name down here that got shot by the cops and died? Oh, oh, yeah, it was a 44:41 Speaker 1 big one. When he's parking lot guy thought he had a taser or something like that, but 44:46 Speaker 1 He was just gone. He shot him. Now if you want to go after a cop that killed your kid, 44:51 Speaker 1 you know, you should be able to have the money raised to do that. I mean, I just, but in this 44:56 Speaker 1 situation, when you're dealing with the death of children, that's where I don't think to 45:01 Speaker 1 go. I think go fund me should be able to be like, no, we're not going to do that. We're 45:04 Speaker 1 not, you're not going to be able to protect somebody from killing a defenseless child. 45:10 Speaker 1 There's no, because there's no way that was self defense. There's no way that was even 45:12 Speaker 1 an argument there. 45:13 Speaker 1 But also at the same time is like, I don't understand how GoFundMe like you could just say, 45:17 Speaker 1 all right, fuck it. I'm gonna buy like 10 Mercedes. Does that make you feel better? 45:20 Speaker 1 And then instead sell them Mercedes and use that for your legal fund. I don't see how 45:24 Speaker 1 GoFundMe can have any legal legal say over what you use the money for. Now, I know there's some 45:30 Speaker 1 cases where there's people that raise money for like a homeless guy or something that keep like 45:34 Speaker 1 half of it, right? I mean, you got to put that in five print like, I'm keeping some of this. 45:37 Speaker 1 But GoFundMe makes a fuck ton off these fund rates anyway. They take a percentage. So I don't see 45:41 Speaker 1 see why they're and it's not like they're endorsing like no whatever the political violence or 45:45 Speaker 1 whatever the violent crimes were and to me which is crazy is what happened to your innocent until 45:51 Speaker 1 proven guilty regardless of the case I mean how's how's go fund me the the judge and jury here 45:57 Speaker 1 saying like now I think that guy's guilty or I think that guy's guilty because are you trying to get 46:00 Speaker 1 Nancy are trying to get Clancy off right now what are you doing you're killing me I'm just saying 46:04 Speaker 1 in general I'm saying I don't see how they're the ones the same now we don't want to give you the 46:08 Speaker 1 money that these other people are trying to give to you, which 46:10 Speaker 1 obviously is going to be workarounds for it. And I don't think 46:12 Speaker 1 anybody uses GoFundMe anymore really for shit like this. 46:16 Speaker 1 GoFundMe, shut down a fundraiser for an 80 year old woman 46:18 Speaker 1 working to support his wife with cancer. Yeah, there are pieces 46:20 Speaker 1 of shit. GoFundMe is. I mean, they obviously it's optics. 46:23 Speaker 1 It's optics, right? They care about optics as much as 46:26 Speaker 1 anybody else. They're a business. And, you know, you 46:29 Speaker 1 support the wrong people, you put you put it out there that 46:32 Speaker 1 you're supporting. I mean, that's like, you know, the Ku Klux 46:34 Speaker 1 Klan saying, Hey, our grandmaster or whatever they're called is 46:37 Speaker 1 this sick, you know, he needs chemo treatment. 46:39 Speaker 1 And they put up a picture of him with his fricking uniform on. 46:42 Speaker 1 And they're like, we're calling all Arians to donate money. 46:45 Speaker 1 You think they're going to take that down? 46:47 Speaker 1 Yeah, probably. 46:48 Speaker 1 Okay. Because it doesn't look good. 46:50 Speaker 1 So we need, we just need to start our own then. 46:52 Speaker 1 We just need to start our own go fund because you get, 46:54 Speaker 1 they take like fucking 10% or 2% something like that. 46:56 Speaker 1 And we just, we'll just start our own, you know, 46:59 Speaker 1 I don't even know what you need. 47:00 Speaker 1 I guess you need like a some kind of account, 47:02 Speaker 1 like what's it called? 47:04 Speaker 1 S count, S cargo account. 47:06 Speaker 1 That's gross. 47:07 Speaker 1 That's gross. 47:08 Speaker 1 That's gross. 47:09 Speaker 1 Yeah, you just got to create a S-Grow account. 47:11 Speaker 1 I've done my research. 47:12 Speaker 1 You need a snail account on this. 47:14 Speaker 1 Snail accounts are always really good to have. 47:16 Speaker 1 You don't have to ask cargos. 47:17 Speaker 1 It snails, right? 47:18 Speaker 1 That's a nice gross. 47:19 Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. 47:20 Speaker 1 We're going to get the money out to you really slowly. 47:21 Speaker 1 About $10 a day. 47:22 Speaker 1 Hopefully that'll help with your legal fund. 47:24 Speaker 1 But apparently it's owned by venture capital firms, bought it. 47:29 Speaker 1 Excel, TCV, graylock partners, iconic capital, meritet capital partners, and stripes 47:34 Speaker 1 groups. 47:35 Speaker 1 and just take 2% off the top. I mean, we can make a fuck ton of money. I don't know what's the 47:39 Speaker 1 legality of that. I don't see we're just a broker, right? That's a manny question. Yeah, we need to 47:44 Speaker 1 figure out how to do that. We could promote the hell of it be like, whatever your crime is, we'll 47:47 Speaker 1 take your money and we'll give it to them. We don't give a damn it. We'll keep 2%. That'd be good. 47:51 Speaker 1 Yeah, we'll get 2% of what's 2% of a million. Uh, let's see, 5% would be 50,000. So 20,000. 47:58 Speaker 1 That's fine. Yeah. Let me look real quick. One last thing we'll move on. Uh, how much 48:05 Speaker 1 money has go fund me race. 48:08 Speaker 1 Let's see here. 48:10 Speaker 1 Go fund me raise your what they're worth. 48:13 Speaker 1 How much they've raised on the platform, you know, or people 48:16 Speaker 1 raised on the platform. 48:16 Speaker 1 It was founded in 2010. 48:18 Speaker 1 How, how many, how many dollars do you think has been funded on 48:23 Speaker 1 there? 48:24 Speaker 1 Um, 48:25 Speaker 1 Hi, I'm Lexi, your friend and jeweler at Shane Company. 48:28 Speaker 1 If you're planning to propose this holiday, we're ready to make 48:30 Speaker 1 creating your engagement ring a warm, welcoming experience at Shane 48:34 Speaker 1 company, we're all about your style, your budget, your dream engagement ring. 48:38 Speaker 1 Explore the widest selection of diamonds and ring settings ready for you to see in 48:42 Speaker 1 person or visit us at Shaneco.com. 48:45 Speaker 1 You'll have your ring in days, not weeks. 48:47 Speaker 1 Our friendly jewelry consultants don't work on commission. 48:50 Speaker 1 There's never any pressure, just perfect proposals. 48:53 Speaker 1 Shane company, your friend and jeweler. 48:55 Speaker 1 When an intruder approaches a home, they expect a camera. 48:58 Speaker 1 What they don't expect. 49:01 Speaker 1 Using smart AI cameras, live US based agents, 49:04 Speaker 1 healthy, current trutors in under 30 seconds. 49:07 Speaker 1 Don't just record a break in, stop it from ever happening. 49:10 Speaker 1 Plan starting around a dollar a day. 49:12 Speaker 1 Right now, get 70% off your new system 49:14 Speaker 1 with professional monitoring at simplysafe.com slash Spotify. 49:18 Speaker 1 30 seconds response time requires monitoring plan 49:20 Speaker 1 with outdoor protection starting at $49.99 a month. 49:22 Speaker 1 Visit simplysafe.com slash licenses 49:24 Speaker 1 for alarm license information. 49:27 Speaker 1 $600 million. 49:29 Speaker 1 $40 billion. 49:32 Speaker 1 What? 49:33 Speaker 1 Either 200 million people worldwide 49:35 Speaker 1 to send or receive money through its platform. We get to go. 50:01 Speaker 1 Dude, GoFundMe last publicly confirmed their valuation. 50:06 Speaker 1 You know what they confirmed their valuation is? 50:09 Speaker 1 Now you're talking about money that was given to them 50:12 Speaker 1 that they gave to other people. 50:14 Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. 50:15 Speaker 1 If you wanted to buy GoFundMe right now, 50:16 Speaker 1 and I'll go on the low end, I'm gonna go low. 50:18 Speaker 1 How much do you think it would cost you to buy that company? 50:20 Speaker 1 I'm gonna guess 20 billion? 50:24 Speaker 1 20 billion? 50:25 Speaker 1 Oh, maybe 250 million. 50:28 Speaker 1 All right, now you're closer. 50:29 Speaker 1 600 million is low in. 50:31 Speaker 1 It's not their way. 50:32 Speaker 1 Okay. 50:33 Speaker 1 600 million, and that was a majority stake buyout 50:37 Speaker 1 led by Excel partners and technology crossover ventures 50:40 Speaker 1 in 2015. 50:42 Speaker 1 Dude, I think you're not crazy. 50:45 Speaker 1 This is a huge place where we could really make some money. 50:49 Speaker 1 Like you said, there's nothing we have to worry. 50:51 Speaker 1 You don't have to buy anything. 50:53 Speaker 1 You don't have to really do anything. 50:54 Speaker 1 You just sit back and let AI run it, 50:56 Speaker 1 and we just get money to everybody. 50:58 Speaker 1 But it's like, yeah, we don't care who we are. 51:00 Speaker 1 We don't care who you killed. 51:00 Speaker 1 You know, you get it. 51:02 Speaker 1 Yeah, there's like raising money for genocide, but, 51:04 Speaker 1 I mean, you do it the money what you want to. 51:06 Speaker 1 We're taking 2%. 51:07 Speaker 1 We don't give a damn. 51:08 Speaker 1 We do not give a damn. 51:10 Speaker 1 Yeah, man. 51:10 Speaker 1 Like we're the go fund me for like the African militia, 51:15 Speaker 1 you know, the cartel. 51:17 Speaker 1 The cartels like, look, we really need your help. 51:19 Speaker 1 We're trying to buy some more guns and ammo 51:21 Speaker 1 to fight the government. 51:22 Speaker 1 We're like, yeah, dude, this is the platform to do it. 51:24 Speaker 1 I mean, we're down. 51:25 Speaker 1 You know, we'll help you out. 51:26 Speaker 1 We'll get you guys. 51:26 Speaker 1 We'll get you guys. 51:27 Speaker 1 You got cartels is laundering money through our platform. 51:30 Speaker 1 Well, I'm in. 51:30 Speaker 1 We're just taking 2% all right. 51:32 Speaker 1 We're just taking it. 51:33 Speaker 1 It's like owning a building. 51:34 Speaker 1 We don't know what the activity is that goes on inside. 51:36 Speaker 1 All right, it's not up to us. 51:37 Speaker 1 We're not at fault here. 51:38 Speaker 1 OK, yes, like written it out to a restaurant. 51:40 Speaker 1 They're doing shady business out the back. 51:42 Speaker 1 Not my fault. 51:42 Speaker 1 I ran it out. 51:43 Speaker 1 Sounds genius to me. 51:44 Speaker 1 Sounds like there's got to be some kind of loophole, though, 51:46 Speaker 1 or other people would have done this. 51:48 Speaker 1 But we got to look at the crowd raising campaign. 51:50 Speaker 1 We're going to get into it. 51:51 Speaker 1 But all right, we're going to get into what the check. 51:55 Speaker 1 What the. 51:56 Speaker 1 Chuck yeah, you want to check me? Chuck you real hard. Chuck me. Chuck me. Chuck me. I'm full of Chuck. Oh 52:04 Speaker 1 Chuck 52:05 Speaker 1 Chuck it real good 52:09 Speaker 1 DJ 52:11 Speaker 1 Alright, so as you guys know the algorithms on your phone the algorithms on your phone or what drive everyday conversations in my household 52:18 Speaker 1 I swear to God if there's something said it turns into I get bombarded with 52:23 Speaker 1 with these videos and these advertisements and all that stuff. 52:27 Speaker 1 So like when I had my urologist thing, that was a whole thing. 52:30 Speaker 1 Okay, and I saw more weiners on my Facebook ads than I ever wanted to. 52:35 Speaker 1 But you see a lot when I do that. 52:37 Speaker 1 But no, now because we've been talking about, 52:40 Speaker 1 and I just did the War Stories segment on Saturday. 52:43 Speaker 1 So I was talking about this prepper thing and this doomsday thing and the fricking, 52:46 Speaker 1 90 days, and then England coming out saying, 52:49 Speaker 1 Hey, be prepared for three days, Tokyo, 52:51 Speaker 1 or Japan coming out saying be prepared for so much time. 52:53 Speaker 1 Now Poland has come out, now France has come out, 52:56 Speaker 1 now Italy's come out. 52:57 Speaker 1 And they're all saying like, 52:58 Speaker 1 Hey, here's what you need to be prepared for. 53:00 Speaker 1 So there was rumors and I started, 53:04 Speaker 1 one of my friends is he's Lieutenant Colonel 53:06 Speaker 1 and I'd reached out to him and I said, 53:08 Speaker 1 you know what do you think this is all about? 53:11 Speaker 1 And he had a very unique theory. 53:13 Speaker 1 And I'm not gonna say his name, 53:14 Speaker 1 I'm not gonna tell you where he is 53:15 Speaker 1 cause I don't get him in trouble 53:16 Speaker 1 cause he told me not to. 53:18 Speaker 1 But he said it's coming down to the fact that AI 53:22 Speaker 1 is advancing faster than they thought it ever would. 53:26 Speaker 1 And they're really concerned about AI. 53:29 Speaker 1 Well, about six months ago, 53:30 Speaker 1 I think they let AI start learning, teaching itself. 53:35 Speaker 1 And it's not good. 53:36 Speaker 1 And they're getting concerned, but there's one way, 53:39 Speaker 1 well, there's ways to essentially, 53:41 Speaker 1 and he didn't get into details. 53:42 Speaker 1 I don't care, because at the end of the day, 53:44 Speaker 1 all I care about is what me and Brandon are about, 53:45 Speaker 1 ready to go over. 53:47 Speaker 1 But at the end of the day, the only way to kill AI is to do this. 53:51 Speaker 1 Go offline, right? 53:53 Speaker 1 Shut it down. 53:54 Speaker 1 Kind of do something to kill it, whatever. 53:57 Speaker 1 And he said, but it could happen. 53:58 Speaker 1 That's something we got to prepare for. 53:59 Speaker 1 And maybe AI shuts it down for us, right? 54:02 Speaker 1 Like you don't know how it's going to happen, but we got to be prepared for that. 54:05 Speaker 1 So I'm talking to him and do we have this, I see this video come up and I, and I'm 54:10 Speaker 1 looking at going, dude, I didn't know any of this stuff had ever happened in the 54:13 Speaker 1 past, but it was very interesting. 54:15 Speaker 1 So I want to show you guys this video and if you're driving it works out too because the audio is great 54:20 Speaker 1 But it talks about a doomsday situation where just how long can you survive and what what happens after one day two days three days? 54:27 Speaker 1 Because I was not I was not ready for what I what I what I heard and now I gotta figure out how to get frickin a well dug in my backyard 54:35 Speaker 1 I don't even want to do that. But anyway, start this thing off. Let people catch up where we're at. Okay 54:42 Speaker 1 The power went out right now and stayed out the thing that kills you first 54:47 Speaker 1 isn't the darkness. It's the water. Most people picture life without electricity is camping, 54:54 Speaker 1 candles, board games, a bit of inconvenience until it comes back. That's not the experiment. 55:00 Speaker 1 And we have actually run this experiment several times on real cities with real people for real 55:07 Speaker 1 months. The results are stranger than either side wants to admit. The doomsday crowd is wrong 55:13 Speaker 1 about how fast things collapse. 55:15 Speaker 1 The optimists are wrong about what actually kills people. 55:20 Speaker 1 So here's what really happened every time the lights went out 55:23 Speaker 1 and stayed out. 55:25 Speaker 1 On August 14, 2003, at 10 past four in the afternoon, 55:30 Speaker 1 a tree branch in Ohio touched a power line. 55:33 Speaker 1 That happens constantly. 55:34 Speaker 1 It should have been nothing. 55:36 Speaker 1 But in a control room in Akron, the alarm software 55:39 Speaker 1 had a bug in it. 55:40 Speaker 1 The warning that should have told operators the line was down 55:43 Speaker 1 never fired, so nobody knew and nobody rebalanced the load. 55:48 Speaker 1 The next line took the extra current, sagged into another tree and failed too, then the 55:53 Speaker 1 next one. 55:55 Speaker 1 Within three minutes, 21 power plants shut down. 55:59 Speaker 1 Eventually more than 251 offline, 55 million people across 8 states and Ontario lost power 56:07 Speaker 1 at once. 56:09 Speaker 1 So what happened to those 55 million people? 56:13 Speaker 1 Basically, they walked. 56:14 Speaker 1 Office workers crossed the bridges out of Manhattan and their workshews. 56:19 Speaker 1 Strangers directed traffic at dead intersections. 56:22 Speaker 1 People slept outside because their apartments were too hot. 56:25 Speaker 1 Bars sold the beer before it got warm. 56:28 Speaker 1 And here's the number that matters. 56:31 Speaker 1 Around 11 people died. 56:33 Speaker 1 Out of 55 million. 56:35 Speaker 1 For a night and a day, one of the most technology-dependent places on Earth ran with no electricity. 56:41 Speaker 1 And it mostly just coped. 56:44 Speaker 1 If that were the whole story, this would be easy. 56:48 Speaker 1 And that seems pretty good though. 56:49 Speaker 1 Only living people died, that's not that bad. 56:51 Speaker 1 Well yeah, and that's, and you're talking 56:52 Speaker 1 about New York City and places like that. 56:54 Speaker 1 But what I think, well that's a weird number. 56:57 Speaker 1 When you're talking about 11 people dying, 56:59 Speaker 1 it was only a day and a half. 57:00 Speaker 1 How did 11 people die? 57:02 Speaker 1 It's probably like, it's probably more likely 57:04 Speaker 1 like people that are living in their apartment 57:05 Speaker 1 that were old and they had like hooked up 57:07 Speaker 1 to a machine and whatnot, they powered it out. 57:09 Speaker 1 They probably, that's probably more likely 57:11 Speaker 1 who died or maybe there was a working on something lost power and then the elevator 57:17 Speaker 1 collapsed and there's two people in there and they might have died, but it's probably 57:20 Speaker 1 old people more than likely. 57:21 Speaker 1 And I always feel like that if people in the situation, the power goes out and you think 57:25 Speaker 1 it's going to be out for everything it's seen in the world, there's always people that 57:28 Speaker 1 you have on a kill list. 57:30 Speaker 1 It's the purge, let's do it. 57:32 Speaker 1 There's probably a couple that died that way too. 57:35 Speaker 1 Yeah, someone getting murdered and the light slipped back on my phone. 57:38 Speaker 1 Maybe no one will find out. 57:40 Speaker 1 2003 is not the whole story. 57:43 Speaker 1 Because 26 years earlier, the same city lost power and did the exact opposite. 57:50 Speaker 1 July 13, 1977, lightning struck a substation north of New York at 837 in the evening. 57:58 Speaker 1 By 936, the entire grid serving the city was gone. 58:03 Speaker 1 9 million people in the dark. 58:06 Speaker 1 followed got called the night of terror. Around a thousand fires were set. 58:11 Speaker 1 Roughly 1,600 stores were looted. Police made about 3,700 arrests, the largest mass 58:18 Speaker 1 arrest in the city's history. 25 hours. That's all it took. 58:24 Speaker 1 Same city, same kind of grid. One blackout produces strangers directing traffic. 58:30 Speaker 1 The other produces a thousand fires. 58:33 Speaker 1 So the electricity was never the variable. 58:36 Speaker 1 What was? 58:38 Speaker 1 In 1977, New York was effectively bankrupt. 58:42 Speaker 1 It was the middle of a heatwave, over a hundred degrees. 58:45 Speaker 1 And a serial killer, the papers called Son of Sam, was still out there. 58:50 Speaker 1 The city was already at breaking point. 58:53 Speaker 1 The blackout didn't create any of that. 58:55 Speaker 1 It just removed the last thing, holding it back. 58:59 Speaker 1 And there's a detail people miss. 59:02 Speaker 1 The 1965 blackout was bigger, but it hit in the late afternoon, while shopkeepers were 59:07 Speaker 1 still standing in their shops. 59:10 Speaker 1 1977 hit at half past 9 at night after the gates came down. 59:16 Speaker 1 A blackout doesn't change what a society is. 59:20 Speaker 1 It shows you. 59:22 Speaker 1 But 25 hours is still a story about inconvenience. 59:26 Speaker 1 To find out whether we can actually survive without electricity, you need an outage that 59:31 Speaker 1 doesn't end. 59:33 Speaker 1 September 20th, 2017, Hurricane Maria hits Puerto Rico. 59:38 Speaker 1 Around 80% of the island's transmission and distribution network is destroyed. 59:43 Speaker 1 All 3.4 million residents lose power. 59:46 Speaker 1 The last... 59:47 Speaker 1 So the craziest thing about this. 59:49 Speaker 1 So in 2017, I was still with the government and we were working part of our AOR because 59:54 Speaker 1 I was here in Atlanta and part of our ARR was Puerto Rico and we had an agent that was assigned 1:00:00 Speaker 1 to Puerto Rico. 1:00:01 Speaker 1 And when Maria hit, he went and stayed with his family in like inland a little bit. 1:00:07 Speaker 1 His parents, his brother-in-law, his father-in-law and all that stuff. 1:00:10 Speaker 1 The night of the storm, his dad, I'm sorry, it was the next day. 1:00:15 Speaker 1 It was the next day after the storm had passed. 1:00:18 Speaker 1 Him and his father-in-law climbed up on the roof to repair like a hole in the roof. 1:00:23 Speaker 1 His father-in-law slipped, fell off the roof, broke his neck and died. 1:00:28 Speaker 1 Oh my God. 1:00:30 Speaker 1 He laid there and the agent had a satellite phone. 1:00:33 Speaker 1 Because we knew Maria was coming and he was an essential person else. 1:00:36 Speaker 1 We couldn't leave. 1:00:37 Speaker 1 I was talking to him on the satellite phone and I said, what's the situation? 1:00:43 Speaker 1 He said, dude, it's bad. 1:00:44 Speaker 1 He said, my father-in-law is dead. 1:00:47 Speaker 1 I said, oh my God. 1:00:48 Speaker 1 I'm like, what are you guys doing? 1:00:49 Speaker 1 And he said, well, we put him in a tarp. 1:00:51 Speaker 1 We rolled him up at a tarp and we moved him to the end of the driveway, right? 1:00:55 Speaker 1 Oh my God. 1:00:56 Speaker 1 And I said, well, what are you going to do? 1:00:57 Speaker 1 And he said, well, we can't do anything. 1:00:59 Speaker 1 We can't get in. 1:01:00 Speaker 1 We can't get out. 1:01:01 Speaker 1 We're waiting for help. 1:01:02 Speaker 1 Guess how long this is this is a terrible story. 1:01:05 Speaker 1 I forgot. 1:01:06 Speaker 1 Dude, I forgot. 1:01:07 Speaker 1 I can't believe I've never told you this. 1:01:08 Speaker 1 Guess how long that body sat where it was until dogs started getting out at night and 1:01:16 Speaker 1 they had to have somebody sit out there and watch it. 1:01:18 Speaker 1 My god three days 24 hours. Oh damn before before dog showed up and they had left it out because they said 1:01:26 Speaker 1 You know they didn't want obviously they didn't want they had no power 1:01:29 Speaker 1 They're in a smaller house in Puerto Rico. So they had to have somebody stay out there and 1:01:34 Speaker 1 Watch his body until they could get somebody in to take it away 1:01:38 Speaker 1 It was a week before that happened and it was it was crazy dude. It was crazy 1:01:44 Speaker 1 He said it was mass chaos 1:01:46 Speaker 1 They didn't have like a yard to bury them in? 1:01:48 Speaker 1 No, well they had a yard, but I mean, 1:01:51 Speaker 1 what are you gonna do? 1:01:52 Speaker 1 You're gonna dig a three foot grave, 1:01:54 Speaker 1 put them in there and then once it's over, dig them up. 1:01:56 Speaker 1 I mean, to them, they were waiting on help. 1:01:58 Speaker 1 I mean, cause we had sent all kinds of people down there. 1:02:02 Speaker 1 We sent law enforcement, we sent border patrol, 1:02:05 Speaker 1 and we had a list. 1:02:05 Speaker 1 So we had a list of residents or addresses, 1:02:08 Speaker 1 and we'd send it to the units that were landing 1:02:10 Speaker 1 at the airport in Puerto Rico. 1:02:12 Speaker 1 They would go out, they would get our personnel back safely. 1:02:15 Speaker 1 but it was the Wild West man. 1:02:18 Speaker 1 He never had, he'd not get anybody to him for seven days 1:02:20 Speaker 1 and they were waiting on this. 1:02:22 Speaker 1 And he said it was one of the worst things 1:02:24 Speaker 1 they've ever experienced in their life. 1:02:25 Speaker 1 Is you know, could you imagine like you lose your father 1:02:28 Speaker 1 and then you got to sit there for seven days 1:02:29 Speaker 1 and stare at him under a tarp. 1:02:31 Speaker 1 Well, I saw a time when you obviously Puerto Rico's hell, 1:02:33 Speaker 1 even with electricity on, but I mean, 1:02:36 Speaker 1 what else are you gonna do for seven days? 1:02:37 Speaker 1 I mean, I'm sure you can take a grave in seven days. 1:02:39 Speaker 1 You ain't got nothing else to do. 1:02:39 Speaker 1 Why don't you just get in the backyard? 1:02:40 Speaker 1 Yeah, but what if you aren't barium? 1:02:41 Speaker 1 In his mind, you dig the grave, you throw him in the grave, 1:02:44 Speaker 1 you bury them and then the Humvee shows up and they're like, all right, dude, let's go. 1:02:48 Speaker 1 They're going to resuscitate. What are you talking about? 1:02:50 Speaker 1 No, but what they did when the Humvee got there, they did take the body and they took it. They 1:02:54 Speaker 1 took it back to Puerto Rico downtown where they had generators set up at this point. 1:02:57 Speaker 1 FEMA was there at least in that area and they were taking care of the deceased. 1:03:01 Speaker 1 What do you mean, take it care of them? What does that mean? Where they throw them in the 1:03:03 Speaker 1 ocean? No, they were preparing them for barrier. They were preparing them for whatever they 1:03:08 Speaker 1 had to prepare them for. I mean, they're putting them in the body bag and either getting them 1:03:11 Speaker 1 back to the United States on C-130s that they were, you know, doing whatever they got to do because the generators were up and running there. 1:03:17 Speaker 1 I maybe I'm messing something here. Did the father law not live in Puerto Rico? 1:03:20 Speaker 1 Yeah, he lived there. Yeah. 1:03:22 Speaker 1 So why not bury the dude in the backyard? I'm so confused. 1:03:24 Speaker 1 I'm like, well, that's like crazy. But that makes sense. Like, Oh, we already buried him. 1:03:27 Speaker 1 Like, let me take you on the pumpkin. 1:03:29 Speaker 1 You want to have a proper burial for your loved one. 1:03:31 Speaker 1 You don't want to dig a hole and throw them in there with a tarp like they're a dog. 1:03:35 Speaker 1 Well, I thought that was just kind of how they did it in like Mexican town. 1:03:37 Speaker 1 Like, oh, what is wrong with you? 1:03:39 Speaker 1 No, they actually bear ask it's I thought they were just bury them in the backyard kind of like the whole grandpa's very in the backyard 1:03:45 Speaker 1 I thought that was a tradition 1:03:48 Speaker 1 No, that's not played 1:03:50 Speaker 1 Customers were not reconnected until mid-August the following year 1:03:55 Speaker 1 328 days the longest blackout in United States history 1:04:00 Speaker 1 In the mountains some communities passed 120 days in the dark 1:04:04 Speaker 1 To put the repair job in perspective, the Army Corps of Engineers had to ship in more 1:04:09 Speaker 1 than 50 million replacement parts, 61,000 power poles, 8,400 miles of cable. 1:04:17 Speaker 1 The official death toll started at 16, then 64. 1:04:22 Speaker 1 It stayed there for months. 1:04:24 Speaker 1 A George Washington University study later put the real figure at 2,975 excess deaths. 1:04:33 Speaker 1 But here's the part that should change how you think about this. 1:04:36 Speaker 1 Almost none of those people were killed by the hurricane. 1:04:39 Speaker 1 They were killed by the blackout. 1:04:42 Speaker 1 Dialysis patients missed treatment. 1:04:44 Speaker 1 Oxygen machines stopped. 1:04:46 Speaker 1 Ventilators failed when generators ran out of diesel. 1:04:49 Speaker 1 Refrigerated medicines spoiled. 1:04:52 Speaker 1 One cancer clinic ran on a diesel generator for 140 days straight, stopping 30 minutes 1:04:58 Speaker 1 at a time for oil changes. 1:05:01 Speaker 1 doesn't keep you alive by lighting your room. It keeps you alive by running machines you never 1:05:06 Speaker 1 think about. So let's do the practical version. The grid goes down. Wait, so I'm guessing did they 1:05:12 Speaker 1 put the power lines back on top of the ground? Why did they bury the still have a above ground 1:05:16 Speaker 1 electricity in Puerto Rico? And they're in the middle of the ocean? They do. God, they're not that 1:05:21 Speaker 1 smart. Are they? Where you live and doesn't come back. What fails? And in what order? Water goes first, 1:05:29 Speaker 1 faster than you'd expect. Your tap works because pumps push water into towers and gravity does the 1:05:35 Speaker 1 rest. When the pumps stop, you're living on whatever is in that tower. For some systems, 1:05:41 Speaker 1 that's a couple of days. For others, it's under eight hours. Treatment is worse. 1:05:47 Speaker 1 Chlorination can run about six hours on backup before what comes out of the tap stops being safe. 1:05:53 Speaker 1 Then sewage, because most cities move waste uphill using electric lift stations. 1:05:59 Speaker 1 Food is around three days. 1:06:01 Speaker 1 Not because farms stop, but because supermarkets hold almost nothing. 1:06:06 Speaker 1 It's all just in time, and the tills, the lights, and the fuel pumps all need power. 1:06:12 Speaker 1 Now the scenario everyone asks about. 1:06:15 Speaker 1 In 1859, a solar storm hit Earth so hard that telegraph operators disconnected their batteries and kept sending messages using the current in the wires alone. 1:06:25 Speaker 1 Some telegraph paper caught fire. 1:06:28 Speaker 1 Or wars were seen over Cuba and Hawaii. 1:06:31 Speaker 1 It's called the Carrington Event, and in 1859 the total damage was some scorched paper 1:06:37 Speaker 1 and a few burned out relay stations. 1:06:39 Speaker 1 There was almost nothing electrical to break. 1:06:42 Speaker 1 If it happened today, the danger isn't your phone. 1:06:46 Speaker 1 It's the extra high voltage transformers, house-sized, custom built, and the United States stock 1:06:52 Speaker 1 spares for under 10% of them. 1:06:54 Speaker 1 a replacement can take a year or more. 1:06:58 Speaker 1 Alloys of London study estimated 20 to 40 million 1:07:01 Speaker 1 Americans could lose power for somewhere between 16 days 1:07:05 Speaker 1 and two years, depending almost entirely 1:07:07 Speaker 1 on how many transformers survived. 1:07:10 Speaker 1 That's the number that gets quoted everywhere. 1:07:13 Speaker 1 But I want to be honest about the other side. 1:07:15 Speaker 1 Grid engineers push back on it hard. 1:07:18 Speaker 1 Mark Olson, who runs reliability assessments 1:07:20 Speaker 1 for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, 1:07:23 Speaker 1 It says the transformer destruction scenarios are generally overblown. 1:07:28 Speaker 1 Most transformers, he argues, would trip offline or take recoverable stress rather than physically 1:07:34 Speaker 1 melt. 1:07:35 Speaker 1 The real threat, in his view, is voltage instability. 1:07:39 Speaker 1 So which is it? 1:07:41 Speaker 1 Honestly, nobody knows. 1:07:43 Speaker 1 We have never run a modern Carrington event. 1:07:46 Speaker 1 We do have a smaller data point. 1:07:48 Speaker 1 In 1989, a geomagnetic storm collapsed the Quebec grid in about 90 seconds and left 1:07:54 Speaker 1 6 million people without power for 9 hours. 1:07:58 Speaker 1 But notice something. 1:08:00 Speaker 1 Even the optimistic case assumes the machines come back. 1:08:04 Speaker 1 Every estimate is about repair time. 1:08:06 Speaker 1 None of them is about us living without it. 1:08:10 Speaker 1 Which brings me to the strangest part of this question. 1:08:13 Speaker 1 About 410,000 people in North America already live without the grid. 1:08:18 Speaker 1 Amish and their population roughly doubles every 20 years. 1:08:22 Speaker 1 So they get plowed over by M450, Kentucky. 1:08:25 Speaker 1 Here's the nuance almost everyone gets wrong. 1:08:30 Speaker 1 Most Amish communities are not living without electricity. 1:08:34 Speaker 1 They're living without a connection to the public grid. 1:08:37 Speaker 1 Plenty of them run diesel generators, propane, 1:08:40 Speaker 1 battery banks, and solar panels. 1:08:42 Speaker 1 They didn't reject power. 1:08:44 Speaker 1 They rejected dependency. 1:08:46 Speaker 1 And that's the real answer. 1:08:49 Speaker 1 We didn't just adopt electricity. 1:08:51 Speaker 1 We deleted the alternatives. 1:08:54 Speaker 1 We tore out the well and kept the pump. 1:08:56 Speaker 1 We stopped storing food because the shop is always open. 1:09:01 Speaker 1 In 2003, people coped because it lasted a day. 1:09:05 Speaker 1 In Puerto Rico, people died because the outage outlasted the diesel. 1:09:10 Speaker 1 The grid isn't what keeps you alive. 1:09:12 Speaker 1 Your buffer is. 1:09:14 Speaker 1 most of us have about three days. 1:09:16 Speaker 1 Hi, I'm Lexi, your friend and jeweler at Shane Company. 1:09:19 Speaker 1 If you're planning to propose this holiday, we're ready to make creating your engagement 1:09:23 Speaker 1 ring a warm, welcoming experience. 1:09:25 Speaker 1 At Shane Company, we're all about your style, your budget, your dream engagement ring. 1:09:30 Speaker 1 Explore the widest selection of diamonds and ring settings ready for you to see in person. 1:09:35 Speaker 1 Or visit us at ShaneCo.com. 1:09:36 Speaker 1 You'll have your ring in days, not weeks. 1:09:39 Speaker 1 Our friendly jewelry consultants don't work on commission. 1:09:42 Speaker 1 There's never any pressure, just perfect proposals. 1:09:44 Speaker 1 Shane Company, your friend and jeweler. 1:09:46 Speaker 1 When an intruder approaches a home, they expect a camera. 1:09:49 Speaker 1 What they don't expect… 1:09:51 Speaker 1 Stop. 1:09:52 Speaker 1 This is Simply Safe. 1:09:53 Speaker 1 Police are on the way. 1:09:54 Speaker 1 Using smart AI cameras, live US-based agents help deter intruders in under 30 seconds. 1:09:59 Speaker 1 Don't just record a break-in, stop it from ever happening. 1:10:02 Speaker 1 Plan starting around a dollar a day. 1:10:04 Speaker 1 Right now, get 70% off your new system with professional monitoring at SimplySafe.com 1:10:08 Speaker 1 I'm going to say truck techs me the other day. He's like, you better get 1:10:30 Speaker 1 I'm like, prepare for water. 1:10:31 Speaker 1 Am I a worst case scenario, I go to my dads 1:10:33 Speaker 1 and we got a whale over there. 1:10:35 Speaker 1 We'll just, we use the trucks. 1:10:36 Speaker 1 We got probably between the excavators and the trucks 1:10:41 Speaker 1 and the fuel tank, probably 400 gallons of diesel. 1:10:44 Speaker 1 So I think we've been pretty good for a while. 1:10:46 Speaker 1 And then, you know, worse comes the worse. 1:10:47 Speaker 1 You just fucking take the wheel off a bicycle 1:10:50 Speaker 1 and just go out there and pedal that motherfucker 1:10:52 Speaker 1 and you just create your own electricity. 1:10:54 Speaker 1 Cause it doesn't take much. 1:10:55 Speaker 1 And you can, you know, you get the, I'm assuming, 1:10:58 Speaker 1 I don't know exactly how Starlink would work, but I would assume Starlink would probably 1:11:02 Speaker 1 still work if I would guess because their satellites are in the sky and they kind of talk directly 1:11:06 Speaker 1 from the sky down to the satellite. 1:11:07 Speaker 1 I'm sure they have some kind of database here, but I don't know how that would work because 1:11:11 Speaker 1 I guess like you said, I guess that phone just still worked though, right? 1:11:14 Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, the sat phone still worked where he was at. 1:11:16 Speaker 1 I mean, but it's one of those things like how big is the outage and where is it at? 1:11:19 Speaker 1 I mean, I got the Starlink as well like you. 1:11:21 Speaker 1 You talked me into that. 1:11:22 Speaker 1 And of course, when I was in Panama City, I needed it. 1:11:25 Speaker 1 I think it would work. 1:11:27 Speaker 1 It just comes down to powering the computer or powering whatever you are connecting it to. 1:11:32 Speaker 1 But I thought people needed to hear that. 1:11:34 Speaker 1 I think it's one of those things that's very interesting when you put it in perspective 1:11:37 Speaker 1 because God knows what's going to happen in this world and what's going on in Iran right 1:11:41 Speaker 1 now and everything that's going on in the United States. 1:11:43 Speaker 1 I'm not one of those people that think, oh my God, this is the end of the world or we're 1:11:47 Speaker 1 going to go to war. 1:11:48 Speaker 1 But you should always be prepared. 1:11:49 Speaker 1 It's better be prepared and not needed than need it and not be prepared. 1:11:53 Speaker 1 Hopefully you guys do something take advantage of you know stocking up on a few things 1:11:58 Speaker 1 Make sure you watch every WNBA game you can now because you know God forbid the power goes out 1:12:04 Speaker 1 Or we lose and you know we lose the stuff and we lose the WNBA forever and heavy terrible 1:12:09 Speaker 1 I just can't imagine not being able to watch a game, you know that's and we got vanilla Phil vanilla Phil over here 1:12:14 Speaker 1 We're just won the play station 1:12:15 Speaker 1 He wouldn't be able to play that either man that was suck when that's like you just got a play station today and the power goes out tomorrow 1:12:19 Speaker 1 And that's not for him. I didn't even get to say it 1:12:23 Speaker 1 He's just got to play it and his truck plug it in the outlet. 1:12:25 Speaker 1 He's got to play the one game that comes with the place they play. 1:12:27 Speaker 1 Yeah. 1:12:28 Speaker 1 I put 10,000 hours on this game, man. 1:12:31 Speaker 1 That sucks. 1:12:32 Speaker 1 But yeah, that's why we can get more of a doomsday prepping. 1:12:35 Speaker 1 We'll see how it goes later this week. 1:12:37 Speaker 1 I want to get it. 1:12:38 Speaker 1 We need to get a prepper on like a serious prepper, like a psychopath. 1:12:41 Speaker 1 I want to talk to those people. 1:12:42 Speaker 1 I like them. 1:12:43 Speaker 1 Yeah. 1:12:44 Speaker 1 Yeah. 1:12:45 Speaker 1 I say the main thing to me, I guess would be, I mean, if you get some solar panels as a 1:12:49 Speaker 1 batteries, I mean, you can pretty much run your own shit for a while. 1:12:51 Speaker 1 So if you're if you're a single prepper, do you guys do you do you get do you do like 1:12:57 Speaker 1 prep condoms? 1:12:58 Speaker 1 Like do you have condoms or if you're serious prepper, you're just like, I'm never going 1:13:01 Speaker 1 to do that. 1:13:02 Speaker 1 Um, now I mean, cause usually the prepping holes you live in unless you're like an ultra 1:13:06 Speaker 1 wealthy and there's like a lot of shit going on for a while. 1:13:09 Speaker 1 From what I understand is the the radiation in the nukes, they pretty much if you're talking 1:13:14 Speaker 1 about like nuclear warfare fallout, it only lasts like two weeks. 1:13:17 Speaker 1 Like actual fallout, the radiation, you can go out after two weeks in it because it decays, 1:13:20 Speaker 1 I think every 12 hours in half life. 1:13:24 Speaker 1 So what do you think I asked you preppers and condoms and you're only down there for 1:13:28 Speaker 1 two weeks though, usually. 1:13:30 Speaker 1 Yeah, but none of the condoms would be usable up here. 1:13:34 Speaker 1 Up where? Oh, oh, you're talking about like you're going to redistribute them. 1:13:37 Speaker 1 Now you probably don't need, probably don't need, you probably get a lot of people 1:13:40 Speaker 1 probably going to die. 1:13:41 Speaker 1 So you probably need to be repopulating. 1:13:43 Speaker 1 That's where I was going with that. 1:13:44 Speaker 1 I think. 1:13:45 Speaker 1 So you just pretty much hear repopulate. 1:13:48 Speaker 1 Yeah, that point. 1:13:48 Speaker 1 Yeah. 1:13:49 Speaker 1 and then he got something like Mary Tyler. 1:13:50 Speaker 1 I was just gonna say that. 1:13:54 Speaker 1 But now we don't need to continue on your genealogy. 1:13:57 Speaker 1 Yeah, we don't need that. 1:13:59 Speaker 1 She's like, I'm real fertile Brandon. 1:14:02 Speaker 1 But I'm going from over here if you really want some. 1:14:05 Speaker 1 Now I'm sniping, I'm not going in that, but. 1:14:09 Speaker 1 All right, we're gonna go ahead and get on out of here. 1:14:11 Speaker 1 We appreciate it. 1:14:12 Speaker 1 Like I said, we'll see you tomorrow 1:14:14 Speaker 1 and have some good and more information for you. 1:14:16 Speaker 1 Maybe some more on this plane crash that someone's, 1:14:19 Speaker 1 there's like more information coming out like, 1:14:21 Speaker 1 oh, we think it was like the plane broke up in the sky. 1:14:24 Speaker 1 But all these video shows like hitting the ground hardest 1:14:26 Speaker 1 fuck so we'll check that out. 1:14:28 Speaker 1 Check the guy I think probably going out of here. 1:14:29 Speaker 1 Yeah, we'll see you guys tomorrow, which is Thursday. 1:14:32 Speaker 1 We can't wait. 1:14:33 Speaker 1 Thursday night football, it's gonna be amazing. 1:14:35 Speaker 1 Can't wait to see you tomorrow. 1:14:36 Speaker 1 Yeah, you people on the live are in a time warp with us. 1:14:38 Speaker 1 All right, bye. 1:14:56 Speaker 1 Hi, I'm Jen, your friend and jeweler at Shane Company. 1:14:59 Speaker 1 As your gift insider, here are my top fine jewelry picks to give this holiday. 1:15:03 Speaker 1 Our tennis bracelets and diamond studs feature the prettiest handpicked, hand-matched diamonds. 1:15:08 Speaker 1 We have beautiful 14-carat gold chains that make great gifts for both men and women. 1:15:13 Speaker 1 You can personalize a piece, too. 1:15:15 Speaker 1 Add in engraving, pick a natural gem in their favorite color or birthstone, or give a letter 1:15:19 Speaker 1 charm. 1:15:20 Speaker 1 Come see for yourself in store or at shanko.com. 1:15:23 Speaker 1 Shame company, your friend and jeweler. 1:15:26 Speaker 1 a business can seem like a daunting task unless you have a partner like Shopify. 1:15:31 Speaker 1 They have the tools you need to start and grow your business. 1:15:34 Speaker 1 From designing a website to marketing to selling and beyond, Shopify can help with 1:15:39 Speaker 1 everything you need. 1:15:40 Speaker 1 There's a reason millions of companies like Mattel, Heinz, and Allbirds continue to trust 1:15:44 Speaker 1 and use them. 1:15:45 Speaker 1 With Shopify on your side, turn your big business idea into… 1:15:50 Speaker 1 Sign up for your $1 per month trial at Shopify.com slash special offer.
